Scathing remarks from Müsavat Dervişoğlu to Erdoğan and Şimşek: References to 'tutelage' and 'locals'

"CITIZENS ARE HOPELESS ABOUT THEIR FUTURE"

The palace's new intrigues, which began with the new constitution, continued with the issue of influence agents. Meanwhile, discussions on austerity measures began. Of course, in the meantime, justice is being served in daytime television programs, and the judiciary is being distributed in partisan offices in Ankara. Law breaks everyone's heart, but it works flawlessly only according to the government. Those whose 22-year record is clear, just as the knife has reached the bone, have again voiced the phantom of a civil constitution, which they stubbornly try to keep on the agenda, on the occasion of the anniversary of May 27.

Since the education system has been razed to the ground, schools have become nothing more than signs, scientific studies have become impossible, associations, unions, and professional organizations have disappeared; with the Presidential Government System, the legislature has been stripped of its functions, the executive has started to distribute justice, and the judiciary has considered itself tasked with not upsetting the executive. In other words, all powers have been conflated. It is unclear who is conducting operations against whom in law enforcement. Between which sect and which community, the police and gendarmerie have been taken from the Interior Ministry and reached a level where they are almost attached to the Presidency of Religious Affairs. Citizens are suspicious of their present and hopeless about their future.

"THERE IS A RECEP TAYYİP ERDOĞAN TUTELAGE"

You have been the plague of one-man rule for this nation since 2018. Besides, why do you complain? The military coups that sent us to dungeons in the prime of our lives carried you to palaces. It is not that there is no tutelage in the 1982 constitution currently in force; of course, there is. It exists, but rather than the tutelage of military administrations, there is a Recep Tayyip Erdoğan tutelage resulting from the constitutional amendments you made. Come, if you want to do a good job, we are ready. Let us erase the traces of all tutelage from this constitution together. Let us start by removing the Tayyip Erdoğan tutelage. Let us save Turkey together from what is called the Presidential Government System, or Tayyipism.

A JAB AT MEHMET ŞİMŞEK!

These days, slips of the tongue are frequent, and as you can see, it happened to us too. Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek must have been so sure that he would solve the economic crisis with his wonderful austerity measures, starting by removing the shuttles of public officials, that he decided to add a new one to his unique practices. With this project, both tax revenues will increase and the additional income needs of tradesmen and citizens will be met. We named this MUYAP. That is, the 'inform and earn money' project. The 'you snitch on the poor, we protect the wealthy' project. We knew they were trying to gain political rent by pitting citizens against each other in every area of life, but to be honest, we did not think they would apply this to the economic sphere.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek, in his speech regarding the Turkish economy at the Global Outlook Forum organized by the Institute of International Finance (IIF) within the scope of the World Bank/International Monetary Fund (IMF) Spring Meetings in the USA, used the word 'locals' while stating that they needed to convince Turkish citizens that inflation would fall. Şimşek's words caused widespread reactions in politics.
