Müsavat Dervişoğlu responds to threats against him

Party group meetings are continuing as scheduled.

Today, İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu spoke at his party's group meeting. 

Highlights from Dervişoğlu's statements are as follows: 

''They exploit our national and spiritual values at rally squares. They hold rallies at martyrs' funerals. It is this government and its partners who are considering bringing the leader of the terrorist murderers to Parliament. They have trampled on the homeland, customs, and traditions for the sake of a one-man regime. 

They are dragging us toward a dictatorship. We are tasked with breaking this chain. Being a nationalist requires this.

They bungle everything they start. Even mentioning justice is a burden to them.

Reacting to the İmralı talks, Dervişoğlu said, "These are the ones who do not shy away from exploiting our national and spiritual values at rally squares. They are the ones who do not hesitate to use religion as political material. They are the ones who use a martyr's coffin as a podium and engage in propaganda at a funeral. It is, of course, this government and its partners who have the audacity to bring the leader of the terrorist murderers to parliament, who think of granting that murderer as a right the hope they withhold from the nation, and who circulate this under the guise of state wisdom. The founders of those who trample on the homeland, the law, customs, traditions, and everything sacred for the sake of one-man rule are always these people."

'THIS IS THE TRUTH FOR ALL OF US'

Referring to the economy, Dervişoğlu said, "For months, they haven't been able to even utter the 'E' of the economy. They only have price hikes on their lips. And those aren't wage hikes, but tax hikes, road and bridge tolls. That is why they keep spouting fake victory speeches. They say, 'Just call it fate and live by being grateful!' The truth, however, stands right there. This is the truth for all of us. It is your truth! You are bowed in the marketplace, bowed before your child, embarrassed before your landlord, and angry at the tax collector. Because you are in an economic vise that is not just lasting for 7 years, but is being sustained. That old Turkey they didn't like; it overcame the 1979 crisis in one year. The 1994 crisis lasted 8 months. Even the 1999-2001 period, which passed with two major earthquakes and two major economic crises in a row, was overcome within two years. They have been in power for 22 years, and the last 7 years have been spent in an uninterrupted economic crisis. With every price hike, you became poorer, and with every price hike, you became more embarrassed. As you became embarrassed, they wanted you to become needy. They wanted to turn the wheels of charity through you. Do not think that these are just incompetencies. The purpose of this 7-year vise is to enslave you," he stated. 

Why should it be a moral problem for these highly pious people that a minister, who is incapable of putting soap in schools, tries to lecture those who object to him allowing obscure foundations into schools on secularism, civil society, and history?

They are circulating a word called "peace" without even taking into account the fight against terrorism or the soldiers and police who are fighting against terrorism. Even the prompter who makes them utter this word must be laughing at their state. They think no one understands when they ask, "Who has been at war with whom that peace is now being made?" But I understand, and the Turkish Nation understands too!

They say no one worries that the name of the PKK, which has been the blood-thirsty killer of 50,000 people in 40 years, and its ringleader, the baby killer, can be easily mentioned in parliamentary halls and government offices, and that, not stopping there, deputies who can call him "sir" have emerged. But I am worried, and the Turkish Nation is worried too!

There is more; they say no one realizes that when this killer makes a call to lay down arms, it requires an amnesty process. They do not believe that anyone will question whether the amnesty to be granted to Apo or the herd of 5,000 killers inside will evolve into a general amnesty, and that with this general amnesty, by chance, every criminal, pervert, and murderer caught in this wayward justice system will be released. They say no one will hold us accountable for the fact that enemies of the nation and state, the FETÖ members, will also be added to those who will be released in such a process of mental and conscientious chaos! But I am asking, and the Turkish Nation will ask too!

They started their first 7 years with so-called deep democracy and so-called EU fairy tales. These were the first years when they accustomed the Turkish Nation, whom they treated like frogs, to the pot and the water. They started their second 7 years with the "opening theater." They attempted to bypass our army with conspiracies. They made the nation pay the price for the shadow-boxing match they entered into with their partners, FETÖ, and they implemented FETÖ's entire agenda line by line. They collapsed the state to seize it and rendered all institutions helpless. In this way, they laid the foundations of the palace regime! While many acrobats were playing on many ropes, they fed us emergency laws as if they were normal, and they progressed step by step in their plans to destroy the Turkish population. Their third 7 years is the stage of destroying the Republic with everything it has. It is the stage of destroying the nation-state and its unitary structure, its constitution, its founding principles, and its goals. The terrorist leader is their new partner on this path.
