Nagehan Alçı: Bahçeli said a house has been built for Öcalan on İmralı

Journalist Nagehan Alçı made striking remarks on her YouTube channel regarding her meeting with MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli.

Alçı claimed that Bahçeli told her a house has been built for Abdullah Öcalan on İmralı Island.

According to Alçı, Bahçeli described the structure as “a place with a garden in front, offering humane living conditions, and having the comfort of a home.”

Nagehan Alçı stated that Bahçeli also mentioned that Öcalan has not yet moved into this house.

Alçı noted that she asked about this topic during her meeting with Bahçeli and used the following expressions:

“He said that he could live inside the house in a way consistent with the flow of normal life. However, he stated that Öcalan has so far refused to move into this house.”

Alçı reported that when she asked “Why?”, Bahçeli replied, “Because he wants status.”

The statement has opened a new chapter in the political agenda at a time when discussions regarding the resolution process have resurfaced.
