The TBMM Foreign Affairs Committee convened under the chairmanship of TBMM Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Fuat Oktay to discuss the legislative proposal regarding the approval of Sweden's NATO accession protocol.

Before the meeting, Committee Chairman Oktay stated, "(Regarding Sweden's NATO membership) We will discuss the matter thoroughly with all our committee members and make our final decision."

Following the evaluations, the discussions on Sweden's NATO membership protocol in the TBMM Foreign Affairs Committee were postponed to the next meeting.

For the approval process, the protocol must first pass through the Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee. If the protocol does not pass the committee, it cannot be voted on in the general assembly.
