Eskişehir Deputy Nebi Hatipoğlu, who had stated that his party should form an alliance with the AKP and recently resigned from the İYİ Party citing deep disagreements, has joined the AKP.
The badge of Nebi Hatipoğlu was pinned by AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
HE HAD SAID "I EXPERIENCED DEEP DISAGREEMENTS"
In the post where he announced his resignation, Hatipoğlu had used the following expressions:
"To the attention of the Great Turkish Nation; in my political journey, which I embarked upon as a person who loves Turkey and Eskişehir, I have been experiencing deep disagreements with the İYİ Party, from which I was elected as an Eskişehir Deputy, since the General Election process. Due to the fact that our intra-party consultation process has not been functioning healthily, I am resigning from the İYİ Party, having also informed our Chairperson, Ms. Meral Akşener."
"I DO NOT GET OFF THE VEHICLE I BOARDED"
Participating in a live broadcast on a local television station in Eskişehir before the May 2023 elections, Nebi Hatipoğlu responded to the question, "If the İYİ Party remains in the opposition after the election and the AKP remains in power, would you switch to the AKP?" by saying, "Of course I would not. Why would I? There are two types of politicians in Turkey. One is those who do politics as a business, and the second is those who do politics as a service. We will do politics as a service. We will not do it as a line of business. As an individual, I do not get off the vehicle I boarded, that is."
