A new development has occurred in the legal process concerning the CHP's 38th Ordinary Convention. CHP member Levent Çelik has waived his appeal against the absolute nullity ruling issued by the Ankara Regional Court of Justice 36th Civil Chamber regarding the convention.

Çelik notified the 3rd Civil Chamber of the Court of Cassation of his decision via a petition. In his petition, Çelik stated that the appeal had been filed procedurally and noted that he was abandoning his application.

I took this step to remove the obstacle before the convention. Three of our colleagues had already waived their appeals previously. I, too, have waived my appeal to remove the obstacle before the convention.

— Levent Çelik

Before Çelik, CHP members Kamile Bahar Özel, Yılmaz Özkanat, and Hatip Karaslan had also waived their appeals against the same ruling.

On the other hand, it was stated that the appeals filed by the CHP Headquarters, Özgür Özel, and CHP member Lütfü Savaş in the case are still ongoing.
