The General Assembly of the TBMM will begin its weekly work on Tuesday, January 14. The Law on the Academy of Justice will be discussed in the General Assembly. On the other hand, three separate omnibus bills, including the base pension amount, which were submitted to Parliament by the AKP Group last week, will also be discussed in the Planning and Budget Committee.
JOININGS TO AKP EXPECTED
Political parties will hold their group meetings in the TBMM this week. The MHP, DEM Party, and CHP will hold their group meetings on Tuesday, while the AKP and İYİ Party will hold theirs on Wednesday.
According to a report by Gerçek Gündem, new joinings to the AKP are expected. It is alleged that AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will pin badges on two independent MPs and some mayors.
According to information reflected in the lobbies, it is claimed that these two MPs will be Ankara MP Kürşad Zorlu, who recently resigned from the İYİ Party, and Manisa MP Selma Aliye Kavaf, who resigned in reaction to the gathering of 3 parties under the roof of the New Way Party (Yeni Yol Parti) from DEVA.
There is also information that Erdoğan will pin badges on some mayors at the same group meeting. While Zorlu and Kavaf did not respond to journalists' questions on the subject, it is also being discussed in parliamentary lobbies that some MPs who are uncomfortable with the merger of the Future (Gelecek), Felicity (Saadet), and DEVA parties could also resign this week.
