The Republican People's Party (CHP) has moved to a new phase in the petition campaign it launched for the release of Ekrem İmamoğlu and for early elections. The campaign will be carried out by 191 thousand ballot box officials and 45 thousand neighborhood representatives.

CHP officials stated that the campaign has been conducted at stands, party offices, and rally grounds until now, but will continue with a new organizational model. The target number of signatures has been announced as 28 million.

İMAMOĞLU'S VISIBILITY WILL BE INCREASED

Despite the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's instruction to collect Ekrem İmamoğlu's posters, the CHP is planning various actions to increase İmamoğlu's visibility. A "Freedom for Ekrem İmamoğlu" banner has been hung at the CHP Headquarters, and such actions will continue.

CHP'S RALLY PROGRAM AND MINIMUM WAGE INITIATIVES

CHP Leader Özel announced that the rallies themed "The Nation Protects Its Will" will continue and that a rally will be held in Bayburt on June 14. In addition, the CHP will begin meetings with labor and employer unions regarding the demand for an interim raise in the minimum wage. The raise proposal to be determined following the meetings will be announced to the public in mid-June.

Stating that the minimum wage has fallen behind the hunger threshold, the CHP is proposing a more democratic Minimum Wage Determination Commission with the participation of all parties. The incentive proposed to the employer in January will be updated and a new proposal will be prepared.
