New move from Özgür Özel: CHP to organize a conference

According to Erkin's article, CHP leader Özgür Özel stated during meetings with foreign policy experts in Istanbul that they are planning to organize a conference centered on the Middle East.

Last January, the CHP organized the "Social Peace and Democracy Conference" in Istanbul. It was noted that this meeting was held at the suggestion of the imprisoned Şişli Mayor Resul Emre Şahan, and the organization was provided by Emin Uçak, a board member of the Presidential Candidate Office. This step by the CHP was an important meeting reflecting the party's vision for social peace.

According to Erkin, CHP leader Özgür Özel met with a group of foreign policy experts at his office in Istanbul last Friday.

Retired diplomats were also among the experts who attended this meeting. It is stated that presentations were made on the Middle East, regional policies, and the European Union during the meeting. It is reported that after the meeting, Özel suggested to Emin Uçak, "Let us convene a Middle East-focused conference."
