New move from the AKP, which lost the election in Üsküdar
The vote for the deputy mayor of Üsküdar, in which CHP's Sibel Tan Çetinkaya was elected, is being taken to court following an objection by the AKP.

The AKP's Üsküdar District Presidency has announced that it will initiate a legal process regarding the events that took place during the election for the deputy mayor of Üsküdar. According to the district presidency's announcement, the application will be made on August 11.
In the election, which lasted four rounds, the CHP group's candidate, Sibel Tan Çetinkaya, received 22 votes and was elected deputy mayor of Üsküdar. The AKP's candidate, Ziya Gültekin, remained at 18 votes.
It was reported that 4 votes were declared invalid during the voting. During the election, mutual objections had been raised by the parties regarding some of the ballots.
