New post from Dilek İmamoğlu, wife of Ekrem İmamoğlu! 'Speak up for justice and freedom'

Dilek Kaya İmamoğlu, wife of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor and CHP presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu, made an important post on her social media account. In her post, she called on everyone to stand with justice and human rights for the peace and equality of the country.

Dilek İmamoğlu stated, "I am appealing to the deep-rooted and powerful structures of all our country's established institutions, non-governmental organizations, and media outlets; and to the conscience of all our citizens," inviting society to be sensitive regarding freedom, justice, and human rights.

Defining the pressures applied to university students as a "human rights issue," İmamoğlu also noted that it is a "matter of lawlessness" for women, men, and retirees who seek their rights and make their voices heard. Furthermore, she characterized the interventions against members of the press and journalists as a "matter of freedom," stating that no citizen should remain indifferent to these problems.

In her post, İmamoğlu called for unity, saying, "We are citizens of a single country who live on the same land and care about the peace of the country. And if we all speak up together and stand by humanity and justice, we will ensure peace and equality for us all."
