New roles for CHP deputies in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe

CHP Deputy Chairman and İzmir Deputy Gökçe Gökçen, Istanbul Deputy Namık Tan, and Istanbul Deputy Yunus Emre have been appointed to roles in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE).

According to the statement made by the party, the first session of PACE this year was held on January 27 in Strasbourg, France.

During the session, 3 CHP deputies from the 18-member Turkish delegation were assigned to new roles.

CHP Deputy Chairman and İzmir Deputy Gökçe Gökçen was elected to the Committee on the Election of Judges to the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR).

Istanbul Deputy Namık Tan was appointed as Vice-Chair of the PACE Socialist, Democrats and Greens Group, and Istanbul Deputy Yunus Emre was appointed as Vice-Chair of the PACE Committee on Culture, Science, Education and Media.
