The health status of Beylikdüzü Mayor Mehmet Murat Çalık, who was arrested as part of an Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) operation, is being closely monitored.

Çalık has previously battled lymphoma cancer twice and continues to experience health problems while in prison. According to a statement made by his lawyer, Melih Koçhan, this morning, a second bone marrow biopsy has been performed on Çalık.

SECOND BONE MARROW BIOPSY PERFORMED

Lawyer Melih Koçhan stated, "Our Beylikdüzü Mayor Mehmet Murat Çalık was transferred to the hospital this morning for a second bone marrow biopsy. Çalık is facing great difficulty due to his health issues," he said.

BATTLE AGAINST LYMPHOMA CANCER

Mehmet Murat Çalık had previously defeated lymphoma cancer twice. Following his arrest and imprisonment, his health condition reportedly deteriorated, and it was stated that prison conditions were having a negative impact on his health. Çalık will be placed back into a treatment process following the bone marrow biopsy.
