Message on 'alliance' from the New Welfare Party: 'If an offer comes from the AKP...'

The alliance process of the People's Alliance ahead of the local elections has become a subject of public curiosity.
New Welfare Party Deputy Chairman Suat Kılıç stated that the New Welfare Party will field its own mayoral candidates in 81 provinces and 922 districts in the March 31 local elections.
Touching upon the issue of an alliance in the local elections, Kılıç stated that they have not yet received an alliance offer on this matter, saying, "If an alliance offer comes from the AK Party specifically for Istanbul and Ankara, we can evaluate it; our door is open to negotiations on this issue."
Stating that they could hold meetings with the AK Party in this regard in the coming days, Kılıç noted, however, that the calendar has not yet been finalized.
STATEMENT FROM THE AKP
AK Party Deputy Chairman Ali İhsan Yavuz, on the other hand, stated that no party in the People's Alliance has said "we are not in the local elections," adding, "It is not yet clear where alliances will be formed. Work is ongoing."
