Ömer Çelik reacts to Özgür Özel's 'ugly language'

In a post on his social media account, AKP Spokesperson Ömer Çelik stated, "We condemn in the strongest terms the ugly language used by CHP Chairman Özgür Özel toward our President. Özgür Özel has made numerous statements that lack the decorum of statesmanship. The sentences he used most recently represent the peak of a lack of political discipline. We return these expressions, which lack political morality and discipline, to him exactly as they were."

Ömer Çelik's statements are as follows:

"We condemn in the strongest terms the ugly language used by CHP Chairman Özgür Özel toward our President.

Özgür Özel has made numerous statements that lack the decorum of statesmanship. The sentences he used most recently represent the peak of a lack of political discipline. We return these expressions, which lack political morality and discipline, to him exactly as they were.

For Özgür Özel to call our President, who faced a political ban for reciting a poem, 'someone who does not know poetry' is a situation that can only be explained by Özgür Özel's own political ignorance.

Our President has dedicated his life to our nation to protect our country from all kinds of bloodthirsty networks. The language Özgür Özel used toward our President is an ugliness devoid of any political morality.

Özgür Özel should direct those words toward his own political history, which supported every kind of coup, including the coups that led to the deaths of our martyred Prime Minister Menderes, our martyred ministers, and the innocent youth of this country!"
