In Istanbul's Beylikdüzü district, police pursued a vehicle that attempted to flee after being signaled to stop at a police checkpoint in recent days.
While two suspects were apprehended following the chase, the driver turned into the opposite lane and escaped. As a result of the investigations, it was determined that the apprehended individuals were Cihat Y. and Ahmet H., and that they were FETÖ fugitives.
The police examined nearly 100 camera recordings and apprehended the driver, Adem B., in an operation. It was determined that Adem B. had been dismissed from his position as a major in the Air Force Command due to his ties to FETÖ.
NETWORK FOR FLEEING ABROAD DISMANTLED
It was revealed that the detained suspects were involved in the current structure of FETÖ and were helping organization members flee abroad by placing them in Safe Houses. The three FETÖ fugitives were arrested after being referred to the courthouse following their procedures at the police station.
HE HELPED ADIL ÖKSÜZ ESCAPE
It was determined that one of the suspects, Cihat Y., was the so-called Amasya Provincial Imam of FETÖ and had helped the fugitive FETÖ member Adil Öksüz hide in a house in Üsküdar before he fled abroad. It was determined that Cihat Y. had been a fugitive for 8 years and used ByLock, the encrypted messaging application of FETÖ.
Ahmet H., on the other hand, was identified as a high-level FETÖ member responsible for military personnel serving in the Air Force Command. It was determined that Ahmet H., who was dismissed from his profession by a Statutory Decree (KHK), also played an active role in the current structure of FETÖ and organized the escape of fugitives abroad.
