Orhan Beğenmiş becomes CHP Şişli mayoral candidate nominee: I am running with the philosophy of 'Tailor Fikri'

Şişli CHP Mayoral Candidate Nominee Orhan Beğenmiş submitted his official application to CHP Şişli District Chair Attorney Tamer Özcanlı.

"TODAY IS NOT A DAY FOR RESENTMENT"

Speaking to the crowd supporting him after his application yesterday, Beğenmiş said that if he is nominated, "I will be a mayor who unites rather than alienates. Today is not a day for resentment, but a day for unity. We have only 112 days, or 2,688 hours including the nights, ahead of us to win 39 districts, the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, and the council majority." 

"I AM RUNNING WITH THE PHILOSOPHY OF 'TAILOR FIKRİ'"

Speaking at the Şişli CHP district building after his official application yesterday, Orhan Beğenmiş said, "I will be a mayor who does not waste the taxes and revenues of the people of Şişli. I will be a mayor who is always by the side of the people, not one who makes promises before the election and then fails to keep them or forgets them. I will not use the money of the people of Şişli as a means to enrich myself or my family. I promise."

Beğenmiş added, "I am running for the Republican People's Party (CHP) Şişli Mayoralty with the social, populist, and revolutionary municipal service and philosophy of Büyükerşen, Karayalçın, Maçoğlu, and even 'Tailor Fikri'."

Stating that he also sends his love and respect to former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, Beğenmiş said, "Our goal right now is to increase our number of municipalities from 14 to 39 districts. Under the leadership of our Chairman Özgür Özel and our Istanbul Metropolitan Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, we have only 112 days left to work day and night to win the metropolitan municipality and the council majority. Today is not a time for resentment; today is a day for unity. Today is a day for struggle. We have 2,688 hours ahead of us, including the nights."
