CHP Chairman Özgür Özel presided over a closed-door Central Executive Board meeting held at a hotel in the Manavgat district of Antalya, which has now concluded. In his statement to journalists following the meeting, Özel said that the CHP is preparing for the local elections with high morale and motivation.

"WE RESPECT BOTH DECISIONS"

Expressing that they are waiting for tomorrow regarding an alliance with the İYİ Party, Özel stated the following:

"Winning is not enough; we need to win better, we need to secure a majority in municipal councils, and securing a majority is not enough; we need to widen the margin. For these, we must definitely be in a win-win situation. For that reason, we had a meeting with the İYİ Party, and the Chairwoman said they would take it to the General Administrative Board. We are waiting for the board's decision. We respect whichever decision they make. If they decide on an alliance, or rather cooperation, we will sit down and talk. If they decide to maintain their previous decision, we will respect that as well and look ahead."

Stating that the CHP has achieved very high motivation with its organizations, mayors, and deputies, Özel noted that he believes this motivation will improve further in the coming days.
