Following the arrest of Ekrem İmamoğlu, the fifth of the 'The Nation Protects Its Will' rallies held in Istanbul will take place this Wednesday in Silivri.

The 'The Nation Protects Its Will' rallies, which were launched following the arrest of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor and CHP presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu, are continuing without slowing down. While CHP Chairman Özgür Özel holds rallies in different cities on weekends, he meets with the public in various districts of Istanbul on Wednesday evenings.

The first of the rallies held in Istanbul took place in Şişli, the second in Beylikdüzü, the third in Başakşehir, and the fourth in Beyazıt Square. The fifth rally will be held in Silivri on Wednesday, May 14, at 20:30.

CHP Istanbul Provincial Chairman Özgür Çelik announced the rally in Silivri in a statement on social media with the following words:

"We are in Silivri for justice and freedom! We are meeting under the leadership of our Chairman, Mr. Özgür Özel, to demand freedom for our presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu, our mayors, the imprisoned youth, and all political prisoners. From Silivri, we send our greetings to the brave heart in the Silivri dungeon. There is no salvation alone, either all together or none of us!"
