Alliance message from Özgür Özel! 'We invite all political parties to join forces'
Speaking at his party's parliamentary group meeting, CHP leader Özgür Özel stated, "We did not win these municipalities solely with the votes of CHP members. In Istanbul, we received support through the Istanbul Alliance, and in Ankara, we won because people wanted honest individuals to govern the capital. We invite all political parties to join forces."

Republican People's Party (CHP) Chairman Özgür Özel made statements regarding the current agenda at his party's group meeting. It was observed that Bolu Mayor Tanju Özcan, who has returned to the CHP, was also present in the hall.
Before beginning his speech, Özel held a badge ceremony for 650 new members who joined his party, stating, "The CHP is a father's house; its door is open to everyone. Please, come in."
Here are the highlights from Özel's statements:
"November 24 was a very meaningful day for me. I started the day early; while going to the airport in Istanbul, I began by celebrating our teachers' day. I spoke with representatives of our 4 unions. I spoke about how they can better exercise their professional rights and fulfill their personal rights. 23 out of 100 teachers are forced to work a second job. We advocate for a teaching profession law to be improved and reorganized, and for interviews to be abolished. If they do it, they do it; if they don't, we will come to power and do it ourselves.
They are dragging out the Tahir Elçi case. Witnesses who should be heard are not being heard. A hand had intervened to obscure the evidence. The fire burning inside dear Türkan Elçi will certainly not go out. But we will be the followers of this case until the end. We will continue to follow it until those hands are judged. We will do everything necessary to bring everything that remains in the dark regarding this incident to light.
Last week, I gave examples of IMM infrastructure investments. Like the IMM, CHP mayors continue to write the book on social municipalism. My example today is from the ABB. What have they done regarding social municipalism; what have we seen. There is a campaign so that children do not get cold, which has been going on for 3 years. They are providing natural gas and coal support to exactly 200 thousand families. In the 3 coldest months of winter, 500 liras are deposited; if the bill is 600 liras, they pay 100 liras. One ton of coal is given to those who do not have natural gas in their homes. For 2 years, one kilo of meat has been given to 200 thousand poor families so that children can get protein. Mansur Yavaş took a whole ram by its horns and gave it to 200 thousand families so their children could eat. The Ankara Metropolitan Municipality provides internet support to 918 villages and towns. They provide bus passes to 12 thousand 500 students and holiday pocket money to 105 thousand children.
If you elect a CHP mayor, you will have a mayor who practices warm social municipalism, running to help you with everything from meat equivalent to a sacrificial ram every 2 years, to report card gifts, to paying for exam fees you cannot afford. When we do this all over Turkey, when you elect CHP candidates, this warm hand will reach out to you too. I invite you to vote for CHP municipalities that show what social municipalism is during the election. We received support so that beautiful, good, honest people govern, not those who sell Ankara parcel by parcel.
GAZA MESSAGE
You are so national, so local, right? Instead of Erdoğan going to the border gate alone to do something there, I invite you to go there with all political parties and show the necessary stance there.
RETIREE SALARY OUTBURST
Retirees are being tested with hunger; the 7 thousand 500 TL retiree salary must definitely be raised to the minimum wage level. We will have our motion voted on in Parliament. We will see the hands raised there. The CHP will raise its hands to pull the retiree salary up to the minimum wage level. Our nation will see the AK Party members once again today."
RESPONSE TO BAHÇELİ
Responding to the speech made by MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli at his group meeting today, Özel continued his words as follows:
"The people of Manisa elect an MHP mayor, and he does his job. In Diyarbakır, Van, and Mardin, Kurds elect a mayor, but you appoint trustees. Because of these practices of yours, Kurds are less equal.
Mosques are accepted as places of worship, but cemevis are not; Sunnis are equal, but because of this practice and many injustices they suffer, Alevis are less equal.
The Grey Wolves (Ülkü Ocakları) can go out to Taksim, but the Saturday Mothers, workers, and women cannot go out to Taksim. Pro-government supporters are equal; because you apply enemy law to dissidents, dissidents are less equal."
"WE ARE LAUNCHING A MEMBERSHIP CAMPAIGN"
We are launching a membership campaign. We are waiting for all young people to come arm in arm, running to Atatürk's party. I invite those whose labor is exploited in plazas, the oppressed, those who see themselves as ownerless, all together to the CHP. The title deed is not with me or anyone else; it is with Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk."
