Having left the party convention process behind, Republican People's Party (CHP) has accelerated its local election efforts. Chairman Özgür Özel held a widely attended meeting with his party's deputies in Antalya.
Manavgat Mayor Şükrü Sözen also accompanied Özgür Özel at the meeting held in Manavgat.

At the meeting, the candidate determination process and cooperation for the local elections were discussed. Stating that those who want to be candidates in the local elections want to meet with him, CHP leader Özgür Özel said, "One of those who wanted to meet with me was Şükrü Sözen.
