CHP Chairman Özgür Özel visited shopkeepers in Kahramankazan. During the visit, he entered a toy store and bought a plush octopus, drawing attention to President Erdoğan's 'octopus' analogy regarding the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. Özel made a reference to Erdoğan by citing the octopus's arms reaching into different areas.
"HOW DO THE OCTOPUS'S ARMS REACH TÜRGEV?"
The CHP leader stated that he bought the toy octopus to help the shopkeeper make their first sale of the day, saying, "This is Tayyip Erdoğan's octopus. He said it twice, then explained it to me. How do the octopus's arms reach TÜRGEV, how do they reach the corruption in Cyprus?" Emphasizing the December 17-25 operations and the events of that period, Özel said that Erdoğan had not used the term "octopus" since those days.
SHOPKEEPER VISIT AFTER TUSAŞ VISIT
Before his visit to the shopkeepers in Kahramankazan, Özel visited the Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ). After TUSAŞ, Özel went to Kahramankazan, where he met with local shopkeepers, listened to their problems, and did some shopping. It is stated that the purchase of the toy octopus during the visit serves as a response to President Erdoğan's analogy.
The CHP leader, who performed Friday prayers at the Kahramankazan Grand Mosque, set off later in the day to attend the ''The Nation Protects Its Will'' rally to be held in Aksaray.
