Özgür Özel meets with NGO officials in Diyarbakır: 'No one should say there is no Kurdish issue in Turkey'

CHP leader Özgür Özel met with NGO members in Diyarbakır. Özel made significant statements at the meeting held there.

Highlights from Özel's statements are as follows:

The CHP will not be an obstacle to peace, to stopping mothers' tears, to eliminating this process that hinders Turkey's development, or to the 86 million embracing each other in peace.

'THERE IS A KURDISH ISSUE'

No one should say there is no Kurdish issue in Turkey. There is a Kurdish issue. It is the Kurds who decide whether or not there is a Kurdish issue. The Kurdish issue does not end just because they say so.

We will continue to express every kind of contribution we can make regarding this.

The issue of the Kurds is the issue of all of Turkey.

To prevent this from failing, we see the hope in Diyarbakır, and we have noted the concerns in Diyarbakır. If a process is carried out once more, another failure could cause even more pain. We must be extremely careful.

As the CHP Chairman, I would like to offer a belated thank you. I thank you for the great support given to the candidates we nominated on May 14 and 28, and for the support Kurdish voters have given to CHP mayors in the last 4 elections. At the same time, I thank the DEM Party.

NARİN MURDER

We do not know who committed this murder or why they committed it. As with all matters, the legislative, executive, and judicial branches are saying nothing. We will not let this matter go. There are allegations that a political structure is being protected. Erdoğan has not kept any of the promises he made. He only kept the promise he made to HÜDA PAR.

ÖZEL'S SOUTHEAST TOUR

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, who visited former HDP Co-Chairman Selahattin Demirtaş at the Edirne F-Type Prison, has begun his tour of the East and Southeast, which includes Diyarbakır, Batman, Mardin, Şırnak, Hakkari, and Van.

Özel was welcomed by a large crowd in Diyarbakır, the first stop of his visit. Following the welcome, where the CHP election bus played Kurdish songs, Özgür Özel proceeded to his hotel in a convoy.
