Özgür Özel puts an end to 'absolute nullity' debates

At the Republican People's Party (CHP) Party Assembly meeting, party leader Özgür Özel clearly put an end to the "absolute nullity" debates that have recently emerged. Emphasizing that these discussions, which have been linked to the party congress lawsuit, have no legal validity, Özel stated that the subject is entirely meaningless.

According to the report by Cumhuriyet, the issue of "absolute nullity" was brought to the agenda by some members during the Party Assembly meeting. However, responding to these claims, CHP leader Özgür Özel stated, "I don't even find it appropriate to talk about this. It shouldn't be happening. There is no legally explainable side to it. No matter how much we discuss it, it's pointless. Even if it were to exist, it would be arbitrary. There is no point in having a debate based on the whims of others," expressing that these internal party discussions are unnecessary and harmful. Özel pointed out that such issues should not disrupt the peace within the party.

Özel also made important statements regarding the recent increase in operations targeting CHP-run municipalities. The CHP leader stated that the purpose of these operations is to undermine the party, saying, "It is clear why this is being done. They want to wear the party down. We will continue our struggle with high resistance." Özel emphasized that the party will continue the process by standing tall against these attacks.

In addition to the internal party agenda, the CHP's political strategies for the upcoming period were also discussed. Party officials announced that field work will begin as of May 4.
