Özgür Özel's response to Dervişoğlu regarding the bus: 'He has acted shamefully'
CHP Chairman Özgür Özel responded to the remarks of IYI Party leader Müsavat Dervişoğlu, who had said, 'The person who, in a cheap production whose script surprises no one, plays the role of the "co-chairman running to the fire with gasoline" while on a bus with the chairman of the party founded by Atatürk, says in his lines: "We will do what the Sheikh Saids, Seyit Rızas, and Sakines did."'

IYI Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu had criticized CHP leader Özgür Özel and Tuncer Bakırhan during his party's group meeting.
Dervişoğlu took a jab at Özgür Özel, stating, "From the top of the bus he boarded with the chairman of the party founded by Atatürk, he said, in his lines as part of the role of a co-chairman running to the fire with gasoline, that 'We will do what the Sheikh Saids and Seyit Rızas did.'" Stating that these expressions carry the meaning of a threat against the Republic, Dervişoğlu said, "Whatever the Republic of Turkey did to the Sheikh Saids and Seyit Rızas, you will receive the same treatment. Whatever needs to be done will be done, and there are millions of people who will do what is necessary."
HE HAS ACTED SHAMEFULLY
The response to Dervişoğlu's criticisms from CHP leader Özgür Özel did not take long. Reminding that he has a personal friendship with the IYI Party leader, Özel said, "If Mr. Müsavat is acting on what he heard from trolls on this matter, he has acted shamefully, but may he still be well." Stating that they do not have an agreement regarding Tuncer Bakırhan's rhetoric, Özel added, "What he said does not contribute to peace."
'CHP HAS NO CONNECTION TO THESE REMARKS'
Furthermore, stating that he attended the event in question to support Ahmet Türk and other representatives, Özel said he was not aware of Bakırhan's statements. Emphasizing that he does not support Bakırhan's statements, Özel used the expression, "As CHP, we defend the language of peace, and we have no consensus with such rhetoric."
