Özgür Özel responds to 'presidential candidacy' question on live broadcast

Özel answered questions from journalists on the TV100 channel. Regarding the question about presidential candidacy, Özel stated that he did not want to enter into this debate and that his goal was to lead his party to power.
Özel said, "No one can deny the social support for Mansur Yavaş and Ekrem İmamoğlu. One covers our right flank, the other our left. Secondly, no one should think, 'No matter how successful I am in this party in the future, certain positions and candidacies are closed to me' just because those two exist."

When asked about the process of determining candidates for the Union of Municipalities of Türkiye elections, Özel stated that the delegates for the Union of Municipalities had been determined.
Noting that 53 percent of the total delegates belong to the CHP, Özel announced, "We could fill the entire administration of the Union of Municipalities with CHP members, but we will not. We will provide representation to the AK Party, MHP, IYI Party, and Yeniden Refah, as well as other parties that hold municipalities, in proportion to their strength."
