The CHP Istanbul Presidency has issued a call to party members to welcome Chairman Özgür Özel at the airport upon his return to the country.
The message, sent to party organizations in 39 districts under the signature of Provincial Chairman Özgür Çelik, stated the following:
"Our Chairman, Mr. Özgür Özel, will land at the VIP section of Istanbul Airport today at 16:40.
We invite our valued fellow travelers to welcome our Chairman.
CHP is the people, and what the people say goes."
CHP Chairman Özgür Özel had traveled to Brussels to attend the leaders' meeting in preparation for the European Union (EU) Council meeting, held at the invitation of the Party of European Socialists. Addressing leaders and holding bilateral meetings there, Özel then departed for Berlin, the capital of Germany, on Friday, June 27, and attended the congress of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) held in the city.
