Özgür Özel reveals connection of judge who issued trustee ruling

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel made significant statements at the Tandoğan Square rally, which was attended by millions. Özel stated that the judge who issued the decision to appoint a trustee to the CHP Istanbul Provincial Presidency had worn an AKP badge during their time as a lawyer.

Speaking at his party's rally in Ankara yesterday, Özel provided the following information:

"They filed a lawsuit against our Istanbul Provincial Presidency building. They filed a lawsuit against its congress. They filed a lawsuit against our Provincial Chairman Özgür Çelik. We have a cat at the door named Şanslı, they even had him checked by a veterinarian, but they could not take over our Istanbul Provincial Presidency, they could not make Özgür Çelik bow down, they could not take it over. At every opportunity, they found a lunatic, they found a liar, and they attacked our party with slander. The honorable judges of the civil courts of first instance, those in Istanbul, the law is clear, they issued a decision of lack of jurisdiction and sent it to Ankara. Those filed here and those coming from there were combined. The courts here proceeded in their normal course. All courts rejected the requests for injunctions, that is, the trustee. They said, 'There is no trustee for those who come by election. There is no injunction from the start,' but unfortunately, those who were kicked out of the door nine times found the 10th one. They found someone at the Istanbul 45th Civil Court of First Instance. Who is that person? Let me tell you who that person is.

Someone who worked as a lawyer for 5 years while their spouse was in the AKP at the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, who entered the General Directorate of Highways' legal department with AK Party reference, who took on the cases of the Ministry of Transport, and who wore an AKP badge. They took the exams that were opened. Both of them passed both the exam and the interview. They became husband and wife judges. If lawyers transition from being a lawyer to being a judge, they do not serve in that province for 5 years. They were immediately appointed to Istanbul Gaziosmanpaşa. They stayed there for 3-4 years and then went to Malkara; although they were supposed to stay in Malkara, which would be the third region, for at least four years, they were immediately brought back to Istanbul. They were placed in the appropriate court. It was determined in April, and at the end of August, the duty court became the 45th Civil Court of First Instance. They waited for its day. A lawyer who had received instructions applied on that day. The court that had received instructions, instead of sending that case to Ankara as it normally should have, accepted it there. It performed the action on the first day after the judicial recess and appointed a trustee to the Istanbul Provincial Presidency.

Now Recep Tayyip Erdoğan says, 'The complainant is CHP, the complained party is CHP, what does it have to do with me?' Let us tell him. The gang of 'white toros' in the courthouse corridors is yours, the one preparing the complaint; the head of the judicial branches is yours, the one doing the preparation; the collaborator judge you found is your former member; you are trying to force the trustee committee you appointed into the 'father's house' with the governor's order and the police's hand. We did not call anyone to the streets. We called everyone to protect the 'father's house'."
