Özgür Özel reveals what IYI Party's Ankara candidate Cengiz Topel Yıldırım demanded from CHP! 'He started firing away when he wasn't nominated'

Republican People's Party (CHP) Chairman Özgür Özel made important statements regarding the upcoming local elections.

Speaking to İsmail Saymaz from Sözcü, Özel said the following regarding the assets of Turgut Altınok, the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) mayoral candidate for the People's Alliance, formed by the AKP and MHP;

"It's legendary. He used to say, 'Property belongs to God.' Until today, only God knew. From today on, we know too. I said 'My God' when I saw it.

We had wondered, 'Why doesn't he say it?' When we looked at Mr. Turgut's assets, we understood."

HE REVEALED WHAT YILDIRIM DEMANDED FROM CHP

Özel also revealed what Cengiz Topel Yıldırım, the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) mayoral candidate for the IYI Party—which decided to enter the local elections 'freely and independently'—had demanded from him.

Stating that Yıldırım had requested Etimesgut through Aylin Nazlıaka before becoming a candidate for the IYI Party, Özel said, "At that time, we had already nominated Erdal Beşikçioğlu."

Recounting his face-to-face meeting with Yıldırım, Özel continued as follows;

"He wanted Çankaya. We said, 'Çankaya is the flagship of the CHP.'

I gave a description. He realized that he was not the person in that description. He wanted Mamak. He said, 'Give me Mamak, and I will bring Etimesgut,' and added that he could also contribute to the Etimesgut campaign. He had had friction with Mayor Mansur in the past. He said, 'Nominate me, and I will work very harmoniously with Mayor Mansur.' When he wasn't nominated, he started firing away."
