Özgür Özel sends a message of power from Kayseri: We have set out on a new path

YENİ Party Chairman Özgür Özel conducted a shopkeeper visit in Kayseri. Addressing the citizens who welcomed him after the visit, Özel thanked the crowd in the area and said that his party is working with the goal of coming to power in Kayseri and across Turkey.

Stating that the walk they took in the city quickly turned into a public meeting, Özel said, "The YENİ Party does everything; there is only one thing we cannot do, and that is a shopkeeper visit. Because you turn that street, that avenue, that square into a rally."

Emphasizing Kayseri's tradition of trade and production, Özel reminded that social democratic politics had achieved success in the city previously during the Bülent Ecevit era and in 1989. Özel stated, "Today I see, hear, and listen to Kayseri. I see the excitement and the love. The YENİ Party government is coming to Kayseri."

Touching upon the local election results in his speech, Özel recalled his promise that he would resign if his party did not become the first party in the first election after he was elected chairman. Özel described the result obtained in the local elections as an "investment credit given by the nation" and reiterated his goal of coming to power in the first general election.

Özel argued that if they come to power, social assistance will not be cut, and that they have increased this assistance in municipalities. Stating that they will expand practices such as nurseries, newborn support, and school support across Turkey, Özel also listed his promises regarding debt and credit for farmers and shopkeepers.

Continuing his speech, Özel stated that their walk was not a personal political move and that they aimed to be the voice of retirees, young people, laborers, and the "left behind." Arguing that the government follows a policy of polarization, Özel said, "Instead of engaging in petty squabbles with them, we will fight for the nation's bread and butter."

Bringing up concerns about the future and bans in his message to young people, Özel repeated his promise of a "Turkey without bans" and "visa-free Europe" from Kayseri. Stating that young people are forced to dream of living abroad, Özel said that they are engaged in politics to change this picture.

Expressing that his party's doors are open to citizens from different political traditions, Özel said, "We will make the YENİ Party the first party in Kayseri, and we will make it the government in Turkey." At the end of his speech, Özel celebrated the August 30 Victory Day and also sent a holiday message to the members of the Turkish Armed Forces.
