Özgür Özel sends message to Ankara Provincial Congress: 'Power' message
In a message delivered at his party's Ankara Provincial Congress, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel stated that they would continue their struggle despite the pressures on their organization, declaring, "We will march toward power with determination."

The 39th Ordinary Ankara Provincial Congress of the Republican People's Party (CHP) was held at the Nazım Hikmet Cultural Center. In the message he sent to the congress, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel emphasized that the pressures on the party would not intimidate them and expressed that they would reach power through the strength of their organization.
PRESSURES WILL NOT INTIMIDATE US
Özgür Özel delivered his party's message with the following words: “The pressures on our organization, unfair practices, and attempts to disregard the will of the people, as well as the unlawful arrests of our elected mayors, are attempts to destroy democracy and ignore the will of the nation. However, these pressures will not intimidate us.”
THE POWER THAT WILL CARRY US TO GOVERNMENT: THE DETERMINATION OF OUR ORGANIZATION
Drawing attention to the strength and determination of his party organizations, Özel said, “On the contrary, it will only grow our struggle. We know that the future and destiny of the nation will be saved by the perseverance and determination of the nation itself. The strength of our organization, our solidarity, and our determination will carry our party to power in the first general elections of the second century.”
THIS IS JUST A BEGINNING
In the message read by Nilsu Uzunpınar, Secretary of the CHP Keçiören District Youth Branch, Özel also emphasized the party's history: “Our first congress is the Sivas Congress. Our party was founded with the Anatolia and Rumelia Defense of Rights Society. We are the party that saved this country, founded the Republic, and grew the hope of the people under all circumstances. Our nation made our party the leading party in Turkey for the first time in 47 years in the March 31 elections.”
THE PEOPLE'S TRUST WILL CARRY US TO POWER
Stating his belief that the trust placed in the party would carry them to power, Özel said, “Today, as in our founding, we are the leading party in Turkey in all polls. This result is the victory of the trust our people have in us, and the perseverance and struggle of our organization. But we know that this is just a beginning.”
THEY CANNOT TURN US FROM OUR PATH
At the end of his message, Özel once again emphasized the determination of the CHP:
“The CHP, one of the two great works of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, is a party that has signed its name to revolutions that shaped the history of our country and has never forgotten its people, even in the darkest of times. For this reason, we will continue to work day and night and be the voice of the millions who cling to hope across every corner of Turkey. Shoulder to shoulder, heart to heart, we will succeed together. No matter what they do, they cannot succeed. Our energy is high, they cannot finish it. Our will is made of steel, they cannot bend it. Our people are brave, they cannot frighten them. They cannot turn us from our path. Our nation is with us.”
