Özgür Özel shares emotional letter written by İmamoğlu to his father

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel shared a letter on social media written by imprisoned Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu to his father.

Republican People's Party (CHP) Chairman Özgür Özel visited Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor and CHP presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu at the Marmara Prison in Silivri.

Journalist Fatih Altaylı was also present during the visit.

Speaking after leaving the prison, Özel shared a letter on his social media account that Ekrem İmamoğlu had written to his father, Hasan İmamoğlu.

Along with the letter, Özel also published some photos of İmamoğlu taken with his father and added the note, "My father, my lion father..."

Ekrem İmamoğlu thanked Özgür Özel via social media, stating, "I convey my most heartfelt thanks for not withholding his interest, attention, and respect from my father during these difficult days. May you be well, my esteemed Chairman." In his post, İmamoğlu also included the words, "A father is as majestic as a mountain; his shadow is enough for his child."
