Republican People's Party (CHP) Chairman Özgür Özel visited the Atakum Municipality in Samsun, where the CHP emerged as the leading party in the elections.

'I EXTEND MY CONDOLENCES TO THE PEOPLE AND STATE OF IRAN'

Özel stated, "There is a striking agenda being discussed across all of Turkey. Unfortunately, yesterday, Ibrahim Raisi's helicopter first went missing. Search and rescue efforts continued throughout the night. As a result of the search and rescue operations, to which our country also contributed, the wreckage was first located. Later, we learned that there were no signs of life. We learned that everyone on the helicopter, including the President, lost their lives. We extend our condolences to the people and the State of Iran. We are saddened by this accident. We hope that this was an accident. No one should be allowed to hinder regional peace before the facts are revealed."

'ISRAEL'S ATTACKS, WHICH AMOUNT TO STATE TERRORISM, ARE UNACCEPTABLE'

"The attacks carried out by Hamas since the night of October 6, the response given by Israel, and the subsequent loss of more than 35 thousand lives, with nearly half being children and women, and Israel's attacks, which far exceed the limits of legitimate self-defense and amount to state terrorism, are unacceptable. Is there a connection to what is happening in the region during this process? I would like to hope there is not. We demand that the concrete truth be revealed as soon as possible. Until the facts are revealed, no one should be given the opportunity to hinder regional peace."
