CHP Chairman Özgür Özel reacted to an elderly citizen being pushed while he was answering journalists' questions in front of the Bursa Grand Mosque following Friday prayers.
Upon noticing what happened, Özel turned to the person alleged to have pushed the citizen and snapped, "You, get out of here. It's a shame, should an elderly person be pushed? Don't come here."
As part of his program in Bursa, Özel visited Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Bozbey, who was removed from office following his arrest, in prison, and later made assessments regarding the current agenda.
Touching upon the illegal forex fraud operation, Özel argued that small investors were being victimized. Stating that there are 7 million investors in the stock market, Özel said that 3.5 million of these individuals conduct transactions of 10 thousand liras or less.
Regarding this picture, Özel used the expression, "What does this mean? This means desperation."
Evaluating Chief Advisor to the President Mehmet Uçum's indication of April 16, 2028, for the presidential election, Özel argued that opening a debate on early elections shortly before the election would be aimed at misleading the voters.
In his statement, Özel said, "We will reach that ballot box and we will win that election, friends."
