President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with Beykoz Deputy Mayor Özlem Vural Gürzel, who left the CHP to join the AKP. The meeting took place last weekend as part of an opening ceremony held in Sultanbeyli.

INFORMATION PROVIDED ON WORK IN BEYKOZ

According to the information obtained, Gürzel provided President Erdoğan with information regarding projects carried out in the Beykoz district, ongoing investments, and plans for the new term during the meeting. It was learned that the coordination of municipal services in the district and sustainable development issues were also on the agenda.

During the meeting, topics such as strong cooperation in local government, a service-oriented approach to municipalism, and a stable development model were evaluated. Furthermore, an exchange of ideas took place regarding the planning of investments that will contribute to the future of Beykoz and the support of new projects.

HAD JOINED THE AKP FROM THE CHP

Özlem Vural Gürzel, who was elected as deputy mayor following the arrest of Beykoz Mayor Alaattin Köseler on charges of "rigging a tender" and "establishing, being a member of, and assisting an organization for the purpose of committing a crime," had resigned from the CHP on September 13 to join the AKP.
