AKP Group Deputy Chairperson Özlem Zengin announced in a statement at the Parliamentary General Assembly that the Saturday Mothers' 1000th-week protest will be permitted.

In her speech, the AKP official Zengin stated, "I just confirmed this with our Governor. They will be able to hold this meeting."

"I CONFIRMED IT WITH OUR GOVERNOR"

Zengin used the following expressions in her statement:

"The Saturday Mothers visited me in recent weeks. They also visited other political parties. As a result, we held discussions with both our Minister of Interior and our Governor. They will hold their 1000th meeting on the 29th. I just confirmed this with our Governor. They will be able to hold this meeting. They have already been continuing to hold them every week."

"WE MUST NOT ALLOW IT TO BE EXPLOITED"

Zengin continued as follows:

"They will hold their meeting this week with broader participation. There is a fine line here. For us, the sensitivities and pain of the Saturday Mothers are important, but we must not allow this to be steered in a different direction or exploited based on this pain. Our duty is to follow up on what needs to be done legally."
