Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş publishes condolence message for Raisi

Ebrahim Raisi and his accompanying delegation lost their lives in a helicopter crash. Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş published a condolence message on his social media account regarding Raisi's passing.

In his post, Kurtulmuş included the following statements:

"I pray for God's mercy upon Iranian President Mr. Ebrahim Raisi, who lost his life in a tragic accident; I extend my condolences to his family and the friendly and brotherly people of Iran, and I share in their grief.

I also express my condolences for Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and the other deceased who passed away in the same accident."

What happened:

Iranian state television announced that there were no survivors in the crash involving the helicopter carrying President Raisi yesterday. While the wreckage of the helicopter was reached after 15 hours of work, it was announced that Raisi, along with Foreign Minister Abdollahian, Tabriz Governor Malek Rahmati, and the Iranian Supreme Leader Khamenei's Representative in Tabriz, Mohammad Ali Ale-Hashem, were among those who lost their lives in the crash. It was noted that 2 high-ranking military officials from the Revolutionary Guards Corps and 3 crew members who were on Raisi's helicopter also lost their lives in the accident.
