Police intervention against CHP deputy at Saraçhane rally: 'He hit me from behind'

Ahead of a rally organized by the CHP to mark the 100th day of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu's detention, university students gathered at Beyazıt Square and attempted to march to Saraçhane. However, a police intervention occurred during the march.
CHP Istanbul Deputy Yunus Emre and Şanlıurfa Deputy Mahmut Tanal expressed their reactions against the police blockade.
Criticizing the police for blockading citizens, Mahmut Tanal said, "We will change this rotten system."
"HE HIT ME FROM BEHIND"
Regarding the incident, Yunus Emre stated, "A police officer, far from the scuffle, hit me from behind. A police officer has no right to do this to any citizen." Emre noted that they were making efforts to ensure the police could perform their duties properly.
