In a statement on its social media account following the intervention, the union reported that at least 100 miners had been detained. The statement alleged that union representative Başaran Aksu was placed in a separate vehicle from the other miners.

The union also shared footage from the scene, claiming that miners and members of the press were beaten during the intervention. The post included the statement, "We call on the entire public, especially media organizations, to speak out against torture. 100 miners are in detention."
