Polls close in 6 towns: Results are in for the race between the People's Alliance and the opposition
Voting has concluded in the by-elections held in 6 settlements that gained town status by the decision of the Supreme Election Council (YSK). According to unofficial results, the AK Party won 2 mayoralties, the CHP 1, and the MHP 1 in Tokat, while AK Party and People's Alliance candidates won the elections in Gümüşhane's Tekke and Nevşehir's Mustafapaşa.

Polls have closed in the by-elections held in settlements that gained town status in accordance with the decision of the Supreme Election Council (YSK). Following the elections held in Tokat, Gümüşhane, and Nevşehir, unofficial results have emerged, and the new mayors have largely been determined.
ELECTION EXCITEMENT IN FOUR TOWNS IN TOKAT
Citizens went to the polls to determine their mayors in the towns of Yolüstü and Çevrecik in Tokat's Reşadiye district, as well as the town of Bağtaşı in the Almus district and the town of Kuşçu in the Yeşilyurt district.
According to unofficial results in the elections where 5,682 voters cast their ballots in Tokat, the AK Party won the mayoralties in two towns, while the CHP and MHP each won one.
MHP VICTORY IN KUŞÇU TOWN
The counting of votes cast in ballot boxes numbered 1001 and 1002 in the town of Kuşçu, located in the Yeşilyurt district, has been completed.
According to the results, the MHP candidate won the election by receiving a total of 373 votes. The Great Unity Party (BBP) remained at 266 votes.
AK PARTY TAKES A CLEAR LEAD IN BAĞTAŞI
Results were finalized after the counting of votes cast in four ballot boxes in the town of Bağtaşı, located in the Almus district.
While the AK Party received 722 votes, the CHP remained at 19, the New Welfare Party (Yeniden Refah Partisi) at 13, and the Felicity Party (Saadet Partisi) at 5 votes. With these results, the AK Party won the mayorship in the town of Bağtaşı.
CHP TAKES THE LEAD IN ÇEVRECİK
In the town of Çevrecik, located in the Reşadiye district, the election race took place between the AK Party and the CHP.
As a result of the count in seven ballot boxes, the CHP received 877 votes, while the AK Party remained at 803 votes. According to unofficial results, the CHP became the party that won the mayorship in the town of Çevrecik.
AK PARTY DOMINANCE IN YOLÜSTÜ
In the town of Yolüstü, located in the Reşadiye district, the AK Party outperformed its rivals.
Following the count in seven ballot boxes, the AK Party received 911 votes. While the Key Party (Anahtar Parti) remained at 208 votes, other parties received lower vote shares. Thus, the AK Party won the mayorship in the town of Yolüstü.
PEOPLE'S ALLIANCE WINS IN TEKKE TOWN
There was also election excitement in the town of Tekke, located in the central district of Gümüşhane.
Following the vote count that began after the polls closed, the People's Alliance's joint candidate, Kemalettin Demirkıran, was elected mayor according to unofficial results.
After the election result was finalized, celebrations were held in the town, and Kemalettin Demirkıran met with his rival and relative, CHP candidate Barış Demirkıran. The two candidates congratulated each other and embraced after the election race.
AK PARTY CANDIDATE WINS IN MUSTAFAPAŞA
Results have also been determined in the town of Mustafapaşa, located in the Ürgüp district of Nevşehir, which was another settlement where by-elections were held.
According to unofficial results, AK Party candidate Mustafa Özer was elected mayor.

In Tokat, the AK Party won the mayoralties in the towns of Bağtaşı and Yolüstü, the CHP in the town of Çevrecik, and the MHP in the town of Kuşçu. In the town of Tekke in Gümüşhane, the People's Alliance candidate Kemalettin Demirkıran, and in the town of Mustafapaşa in Nevşehir, the AK Party candidate Mustafa Özer finished the election in the lead.
