AKP Kahramankazan Mayor Selim Çırpanoğlu criticized his party's previous administration in his statements regarding service debates in the district. Çırpanoğlu, who switched from the CHP to the AKP, argued that sufficient services had not been provided in Kahramankazan over the previous 20-year period.
Responding to criticisms of "personalized service" regarding asphalt works in the district, Çırpanoğlu stated that municipal operations are conducted with documentation and transparency. Çırpanoğlu used the expression, "I have laid more asphalt in 2.5 years than was laid in 20 years in Kahramankazan."
Stating that asphalt and cleaning services are not separated based on political identities, Çırpanoğlu noted that services were also provided in front of the buildings of AKP and CHP council members, and that work was also carried out in Yayalar Neighborhood, the village of the former mayor.
Speaking about Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş, Çırpanoğlu said that Yavaş does not observe political party distinctions in his services for Kahramankazan. Çırpanoğlu emphasized that he would thank anyone who provides service to the district.
Regarding the process of his transition to the AKP, Çırpanoğlu stated that he did not consult with either Mansur Yavaş or CHP Chairman Özgür Özel before making this decision. Çırpanoğlu said, "I do not think that would be ethical."
