President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is speaking at the Eskişehir District Candidate Introduction Meeting...
Highlights from Erdoğan's remarks are as follows:
"As the AK Party and the People's Alliance, I believe that we will have an election in Eskişehir where we will write a success story with both the metropolitan municipality and its districts. I have no doubt that Eskişehir will choose real municipalism on March 31.
The time for the politics of showmanship, agencies, and ideological imposition that wastes the time of our country and our cities has come to an end. Hopefully, March 31 will be a symbol of the rise of work- and service-oriented municipalism.
"WE ARE CONSTANTLY RENEWING OUR CADRES AND OUR VISION"
We are constantly renewing our cadres and our vision to bring works to our cities. Who brought the high-speed train to this Eskişehir? Who has their signature on the steps taken regarding all of Eskişehir's roads? Who built all the highways and motorways? The AK Party... Now, of course, one side is unfortunately barren, but when the central government and the municipality join hands on the other side, our Eskişehir will rise again. Are we ready for this?
"THERE IS NOT A SINGLE DAY TO LOSE"
We are appearing before our nation for the 18th time. Our goal is to come out first from the ballot box again and to govern our cities with the politics of work and service. Such critical developments are taking place in the world and in our region... Our country and our cities do not have a single day to lose, let alone 5 years. We know that every moment we lose will have enormous costs imposed not only on ourselves but on the future of our children. They have done this evil to Turkey many times throughout the history of the Republic.
Since the day we came to power, we have fought against treacherous traps alongside the breakthroughs in democracy and development we have brought to our country. If just one of the things we have experienced in the last 10 years had happened to another country, believe me, it would have been devastated. By joining hands with our nation, we have thwarted all the games played on Turkey's independence and future.
"THE FORMER CHP CHAIRMAN IS STRIVING TO RETURN TO HIS SEAT"
The new chairman of the CHP, who came with the promise of change, has adopted the mentality of single-party fascism that tolerates no one at lightning speed. It is understood that no one in his party takes him seriously. As for the former chairman, he is trying to stay on the agenda by attacking us with delusions that are entirely the product of ignorance, just to keep himself in the spotlight. His concern is to hide the growing infighting within the CHP, which he himself is a part of, and quietly return to the chairmanship seat."
