President Erdoğan announces Turkey's roadmap for the Israel-Hamas crisis

The conflict between Israel and Hamas continues on its 14th day.

While civilians on both sides continue to lose their lives, a new statement has come from AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Erdoğan stated, "The expansion of attacks on Gaza will bring nothing but more pain, death, and tears." 

HERE IS THAT STATEMENT

The expansion of attacks on Gaza will bring nothing but more pain, death, and tears.

It is clear that security cannot be achieved by slaughtering children, women, and civilians, or by bombing hospitals, schools, mosques, and churches. One cannot prosper through oppression.         

Instead of turning back from this mistake and acting with state wisdom, the Israeli administration is behaving like an organization, fueled by the provocations of actors from outside the region.

Our region must be saved as soon as possible from this frenzy of madness, which Western countries encourage and Western media outlets are practically racing to legitimize. 

I invite all states and international organizations to sincerely support initiatives aimed at establishing a humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza as soon as possible.

I reiterate our call to the Israeli administration to never expand the scope of its attacks on civilians and to immediately stop its operations that amount to genocide.

We believe that our region will achieve lasting stability with the establishment of new mechanisms that will guarantee the safety of Muslims, Jews, Christians, and everyone living in these lands.

Turkey will continue to do its part to ensure that no more innocent blood is shed, that no more humanitarian tragedies occur, and that the conflict in Palestine is resolved before it reaches an irreversible point.
