President Erdoğan: 'Inflation, our biggest problem, will fall in the second half of the year'

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke at the opening of the Atatürk Republic Tower in the Keçiören district.

Erdoğan said, "All indicators, from national income to employment, and from exports to public fiscal balance, show that we are heading in the right direction. We will witness together the rapid decline that inflation, our biggest problem, will undergo starting from the second half of the year."

"INFLATION, OUR BIGGEST PROBLEM..."

Stating that it was not easy for companies competing with global giants to make Ankara their headquarters, Erdoğan noted the following in his speech:

"We are working intensively with our Vice President, our Minister of Treasury and Finance, our other ministers, and our bureaucrats for the success of our economic program. The indicators show that we are heading in the right direction. We will witness together the rapid decline that inflation, our biggest problem, will undergo starting from the second half of the year. Hopefully, starting from next year, we will be in a much better place in terms of both compensating for the shortcomings of the past and meeting the needs of the future."

"Our defense industry companies, which have become important global players in their fields, are designing and producing our products that are our national pride here. This climate also ignites other sectors, increasing their enthusiasm for investment, production, and employment. Coming from an Ankara that struggled to manufacture its own ammunition and provide socks and underwear for its soldiers during the War of Independence, to an Ankara that is now the center for companies competing with global giants, was not that easy," he said.
