President Erdoğan vetoes Furkan Torlak

A new claim has emerged regarding Furkan Torlak, who previously served as a coordinator at the Center for Combating Disinformation and whose name was allegedly mentioned in the drug investigation involving Mehmet Akif Ersoy. Torlak had resigned from his position at the Directorate of Communications following the investigation in question.
RESPONSE TO FURKAN TORLAK CLAIMS
In reports that spread rapidly on social media, it was claimed that Furkan Torlak had been appointed as the ministry's press advisor during the term of the new Minister of Justice, Akın Gürlek. However, a response to these claims came shortly after.
Journalist Seyhan Avşar stated in her remarks on the subject, "I personally asked Minister Gürlek about the claims circulating on social media that 'Furkan Torlak has become the press advisor to Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek.' Minister Gürlek stated categorically that this is not true."
It was stated that no appointment, either acting or permanent, has been made for Furkan Torlak regarding the aforementioned position. Despite the denial from official sources, a different claim has also surfaced in the capital's political circles.
ERDOĞAN VETOED
According to a report by Özlem Gürses from Sözcü, it was considered to appoint Torlak to the position of press advisor; however, it is alleged that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan opposed this appointment.
