Presidential Cabinet to meet: What is on the agenda?

The Presidential Cabinet will meet on Monday, June 2, at Beştepe under the chairmanship of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Within the scope of the new resolution process, about which President Erdoğan has been sending messages recently, the latest reports prepared regarding the field effects of the terrorist organization PKK's decision to dissolve itself and lay down arms are expected to be presented to the cabinet members.

HIGH ON THE FOREIGN POLICY AGENDA

Another important topic of the meeting will be foreign policy. In particular, the diplomatic traffic regarding the Russia-Ukraine war, which Turkey is conducting through its mediation initiatives, will be discussed comprehensively.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's decision to send a delegation to the second round of peace talks to be held in Istanbul and Turkey's role in the peace process will be evaluated at the meeting.

In addition, Israel's relentless attacks on Gaza, the civilian casualties in the region, and Turkey's diplomatic initiatives will also be on the cabinet's agenda. The new steps Ankara plans to take on this issue are also expected to be clarified at the meeting.

HOLIDAY MEASURES WILL ALSO BE DISCUSSED

The cabinet meeting will also discuss security and traffic measures to be taken across the country ahead of the upcoming Eid al-Adha. Topics such as the duration of the holiday, the leave status of public personnel, and steps to be taken against traffic congestion are expected to be finalized.
