Tensions flared at the CHP Düzce Provincial Headquarters following a change in leadership. Kenan Akın, who stated he was appointed to the Düzce Provincial Chair position by Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu’s Central Executive Board (MYK), arrived at the provincial building to assume his duties.

It was alleged that Akın forced his way into the building after the door was not opened. In footage shared on social media, it was seen that posters of CHP Chairman Özgür Özel and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu inside the building were removed.

The footage also captured moments where individuals accompanying Akın tore Özel’s posters from the wall, with some posters being ripped. Following the incident, the images from the party building quickly became a trending topic on social media.

At the end of the video, Kenan Akın’s remarks directed at Özgür Özel were also recorded. Akın stated, “Due to perceived necessity. That’s what you used to say, you were acting tough. Your lawlessness, your illegalities, your one-man regime styles were like this, right? Due to perceived necessity. You understand that. You ill-mannered person.”
