DEM Party Group Deputy Chair Gülistan Kılıç Koçyiğit stated in her speech, "Welcome to the women who have embraced hope, who are marching toward freedom from Diyarbakır, and who are marching for Öcalan's freedom from all corners of Kurdistan." Following these words, chants of "Biji Serok Apo" (Long live Leader Apo) rose in the hall.

Pro-government figure Cem Küçük evaluated the DEM Party's 'APO' slogan in Parliament and stated that this situation involves moves that will complicate the so-called reconciliation process.
Cem Küçük said, "Turkey has given thousands of martyrs; it is impossible to accept these lies in Parliament. The arrogance of the DEM Party knows no bounds."
Küçük also added that the separatist terrorist organization PKK has not yet laid down its arms.
