İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu emphasized that any decision regarding constitutional amendments that emerges from Parliament must be taken to a referendum. Dervişoğlu stated that these changes could affect Turkey's future and that obtaining the public's approval is essential.

REACTION TO ÖCALAN

Dervişoğlu reacted sharply to calls for a meeting with PKK terrorist organization leader Abdullah Öcalan. Asking, "They couldn't bring Öcalan to the TBMM, so are they going to take Turkey to his feet?" Dervişoğlu stated that such a situation would threaten Turkey's unitary structure. He said that the Turkish nation would exercise its right to resist in such a scenario.

Responding to questions from Taha Akyol and Elif Çakır on Karar TV, Dervişoğlu also evaluated Israel's military operation against Iran. Stating that tension in the region already existed, Dervişoğlu expressed that Israel had prepared well for this attack and was taking steps to reach its strategic goals following the regime change in Syria.

Finding the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' statement regarding these developments insufficient, Dervişoğlu said that Turkey's geopolitical position requires a management approach capable of shouldering the risks. He stated that Turkey must strengthen its alliances and take measures to deter its enemies.
