Reflections of a party-state... MIT Chief attends AKP MKYK meeting

While the MIT is expected to prioritize the country's national interests and remain at an equal distance from all political parties, it has emerged that a presentation was made at the AKP MKYK meeting.

Following the death of Gülen, MIT Chief Kalın attended the AKP MKYK meeting to give a presentation on FETÖ. Minister Fidan also attended the meeting.

According to a report in the Türkiye newspaper, İbrahim Kalın briefed AKP members at the meeting on the potential successors of Fethullah Gülen, the leader of the Gülenist structure, as well as the organization's management scheme and internal power struggles following his death.

At the meeting, where it was noted that a major conflict has begun within the organization following Gülen's death, the measures and actions taken by Turkey against potential scenarios were explained. It was stated that individuals such as Cevdet Türkyolu, Abdullah Aymaz, Mustafa Özcan, and Ekrem Dumanlı, who are among the candidates for the new leadership of FETÖ, are being monitored. It was noted that Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan also attended the meeting.
